About Me
Brother Mouhamadou (BroMou)
I’m Brother Mouhamadou, the founder and CEO of BroMou Wedding Services. I am an independent Muslim chaplain, wedding officiant, and spiritual counselor serving individuals and couples across cultures and continents.

My work lives at the intersection of faith, psychology, and lived experience. I accompany people through life’s most sacred transitions — marriage, family formation, conflict, spiritual uncertainty, and renewal — with steadiness, cultural fluency, and theological depth.
As a Senegalese Muslim formed in both West African and North American contexts, I understand the layered realities many couples navigate today: tradition and modernity, family expectations and personal agency, immigration and belonging, religion and emotional health.

I do not approach faith as performance or pressure. I approach it as ground.

My role is not to impose doctrine, but to help you discern, clarify, and build something sustainable — rooted in sincerity, emotional maturity, and a shared commitment to Allah.

Trained in Islamic studies, African religious traditions, and pastoral theology at Harvard Divinity School. My formation integrated rigorous scholarship with lived community engagement, particularly within Muslim and immigrant communities across diverse cultural contexts.
BA, CARLETON COLLEGE
Studied Psychology with minors in Education and Cross-Cultural Studies, developing a foundation in human behavior, relational dynamics, and intercultural fluency that continues to shape my approach to marriage, counseling, and spiritual care.

Scope of Services
Premarital counseling and officiating services include structured sessions focused on relational clarity, communication, and faith-centered preparation for marriage. Services cover guidance provided directly to the couple. Extended family mediation, institutional coordination, international documentation review, or urgent consultations fall outside the standard package and are available as add-on services. This structure ensures that each couple receives focused, intentional support while maintaining clarity around time, responsibility, and expectations.
